Plainfield police are investigating the theft of nearly four dozen computers from the high school.
The laptop computers were taken from different parts of the building on Park Avenue. Police say since last November, the thieves got into school on three separate occasions. During the most recent theft, police say the vandals smashed a window of a classroom door and took 28 Gateway laptops.
