A Piscataway woman was arrested and charged with fleeing the scene of a fatal accident, according to the Union County prosecutor.

A Piscataway woman was arrested and charged with fleeing the scene of a fatal accident, according to the Union County prosecutor.
The crash occurred on the 400 block of East Front Street in Plainfield last August, according to police. Jennifer Harris, 67, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Shernice Benbow, 62, was arrested on March 13.
"While this arrest does not bring Ms. Harris back, we hope it brings some solace to her loved ones. I commend the dedicated efforts of investigators from the Union County Prosecutor's Office and the Plainfield Police Department, who worked tirelessly on this case," said Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel in prepared remarks.
