Piscataway man charged in fatal shooting of his brother

A man has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of his brother, the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office and Piscataway Police Department announced in a news release.
Jahneel Stevenson, 21, of Piscataway is charged with murder, possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose in the shooting of Henry Stevenson Jr., 24, of Piscataway.
Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew Carey said Jahneel Stevenson was charged Thursday following an investigation. Police said the shooting happened last Friday in the area of West Third Street and Poplar Place.
Upon officers’ arrival, Henry Stevenson Jr. was found on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where he later was pronounced dead, Carey said.
