The pilot of a small Cessna plane made an emergency landing in Howell Monday.
The pilot, Dennis Arana, was heading toward North Jersey from Lakewood when his engine failed. He was able to make a safe landing at Patterson Greenhouse and Farms on Adelphia Road.
Monmouth Area Flying Club, the aviation organization that Arana belongs to, has requested the pilot not speak with media until an FAA investigation is underway.
People working at the greenhouse say they were unaware a plane had even landed. The farm?s owners say the pilot is lucky his plane made a safe landing and did not hit any groundhog holes when it touched ground.
