PETA offers reward for information about abandoned puppies found in woods, including 1 that died

An animal rights group is offering a reward in an effort to find out who abandoned three puppies in a wooded area in Pittsgrove.

PETA will offer a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest. Three puppies were found abandoned in a wooded area in Pittsgrove near Gershal Road and Eppinger Avenue.

Temperatures that night were in the 20s. One of the puppies died, according to officials.

The surviving pups are being treated at South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter.
