Person in custody after slashing of 14-year-old inside Borough Park synagogue
Police say a 22-year-old emotionally disturbed person slashed the victim with a cutting instrument. Authorities say both the suspect and victim are congregants of the synagogue.

A 14-year-old boy was slashed inside a synagogue in Borough Park Monday, police say.
It happened at 7:20 p.m. at 1675 54th St.
Police say a 22-year-old emotionally disturbed person slashed the victim with a cutting instrument. Authorities say both the suspect and victim are congregants of the synagogue.
The 22-year-old was taken into custody.
The teen victim refused medical attention.
Police have not released any information on what led to the incident.
