A pedestrian was struck and killed by a cargo van in Freehold Wednesday morning, Monmouth County prosecutors say.
The victim, identified as 76-year-old Frank Tommasini, of Manalapan, was in the vicinity of State Highway 33 Business (Park Avenue) near Ann Street around 11:30 a.m. when he was struck, according to prosecutors.
Authorities say a 65-year-old man was driving a 2022 Ram ProMaster cargo van when he collided with Tommasini, who was crossing the roadway from the nearby parking lot.
The driver remained at the scene. No charges or summonses have been issued.
