Peanut is a 1-year-old beagle who is described as fun, loving and energetic.
He is looking for a home with an active family and another dog that is as playful as he is. Peanut is great company with dogs, cats and children around 6- or 7 years old because he is still considered a puppy.
As is the case with many beagles, Peanut is very active, loves to smell and explore and so an outdoor yard with fencing is essential for him.
It's not recommended that he be adopted into an apartment because he is very vocal.
If he cannot be adopted into a home with another dog, it's recommended that the person who adopts he be active or who goes outdoors frequently.
South Hills Pet Rescue believes Peanut is 100% beagle. It also says Peanut was found as a stray in Ocean County until he found himself in a shelter.
South Hills Pet Rescue says he is now in a foster home and is ready to be at his permanent home.
Peanut is available for adoption at NJSH Pet Rescue in Chester.
