(09/06/06) TRENTON ? Staff members at Trenton Psychiatric Hospital are again facing questions about the escape of a patient.
Dexter Moses, a patient at the hospital for more than two years, apparently walked away from the facility and was reported missing Monday. A representative of the Division of Mental Health says Moses had privileges to be on the grounds un-escorted at times. According to Division of Mental Health officials, Moses does not pose a threat to the public.
The latest incident marks the second escape from the hospital in a matter of weeks. Last month, Edgar Rene Del Cid Perez also managed to walk away from the facility. Perez, who was captured one day later, is accused of kidnapping a Somerset woman. Some changes, such as the installation of gates and guard posts, are being made to help beef up security at the hospital.
