Paterson tutor honored for helping students, parents and staff during pandemic
The City of Paterson is shining the light on one woman who made it her mission to help parents, teachers and students at the height of the pandemic.
Shanikwa Lemon is the founder of Beyond the Book Tutoring and Childcare.
Lemon's center worked to tutor children from kindergarten through eighth grade when many parents had nowhere else to turn.
