Paterson officials say the CAPS charter school will be open on Wednesday following a bomb and shooting threat made against the school on Tuesday. That threat sent students and staff home early.
The threat was sent via email, according to city officials. Law enforcement officials did a sweep of the building and determined there was not any danger.
"It was a little chaotic earlier. I was outside trying to direct traffic…we are still trying to assess the credibility of this threat that we received via email,” said Mayor Andre Sayegh.
It was not immediately clear who made the threat and for what purpose.
