A Paterson man has been accused of committing seven armed robberies at five different pharmacies in New Jersey.
Prosecutors say Onijee Burgess, 26, worked with Antonio Rivera and others to steal prescription drugs from pharmacies in Paterson and Passaic. They say Rivera was previously charged by complaint for two of these robberies.
The robberies took place from November 2022 until April. At times, prosecutors say Rivera fired a gun and pointed it at numerous victims.
Burgess could face 20 years in prison.
