A 26-year-old man is recovering after being shot in Paterson, police said.

The victim was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Wayne on Wednesday night with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Investigators believe the shooting happened near River and Putnam streets, but said no evidence was found at the scene.
