(AP) - A fast-moving fire destroyed a home andseriously damaged two others in Paterson on Sunday, leaving 24people temporarily homeless.
No injuries were reported in the blaze, which began at about2:25 a.m. in a vacant duplex on East 17th Street.
Authorities say flames from the fire apparently ignited twoneighboring buildings a short time later, but firefighters from thecity and several neighboring towns were able to quickly contain theblaze and limit the damage.
The cause of the fire was under investigation by the PatersonFire Department's arson task force and the Passaic CountyProsecutor's Office.
