Paterson families filled the streets Monday to celebrate Eid, a Muslim holiday marking the end of Ramadan.
Eid al-Fitr signifies the conclusion of the holy month of fasting.
The Silk City event featured face painting, a bounce house, ice cream, and a toy giveaway.
"This is something special for us because in addition to having largest Muslim population we're the most diverse in the state of New Jersey, so you get to see cultures come together and that warms my heart and I know people feel better because of it as well," said Paterson Mayor Andre Sayegh.
