A Continental Airlines plane was diverted to Newark Liberty International Airport for screening Friday after bomb-sniffing dogs discovered dynamite in a college student's carry-on luggage.Police say Continental Flight 52 landed at the airport, where emergency personnel checked the plane before clearing it of explosives. According to Continental officials, the plane took off from Buenos Aires, Argentina and was bound for Houston, Texas. Houston police removed the passenger who packed the explosives from the plane. The aircraft continued on to New Jersey.Police say the student told them he frequently handles dynamite because he works in the mining industry.
