A field trip to American Dream Mall took an exciting turn for a group of students when they ran into actor Paul Rudd.
The students from Union High School met the Passaic-born actor who was at the mall filming his acceptance speech for the 16th Annual New Jersey Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, which will be pre-taped and broadcast in November.
Rudd is best known for his portrayal of "Ant-Man" in the "Avengers" movies as well as numerous other films including "Clueless," "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" and "Ghostbusters: Afterlife."
The New Jersey Hall of Fame inductees also include actress Meryl Streep, director and podcaster Kevin Smith, Peter Cancro, founder and CEO of Jersey Mike’s Subs and former New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms.
“The 2024 class of Inductees of the New Jersey Hall of Fame illustrate the New Jersey ethic of hard work, determination, and grit,” said Jon F. Hanson, Chairman of the NJHOF. “We are thrilled to celebrate the contributions of 18 new Inductees so future generations can learn about their journeys.”
