Heavy rain is expected to drench the Garden State throughout the week which may cause parts of the state to experience flooding.
News 12 New Jersey's Chris Keating visited John Street, a flood-prone neighborhood in New Brunswick, where possible flooding could be a concern.
There are signs in the area reminding residents in the townhomes to move their cars to high ground during periods of heavy rain.
The Raritan River continues to be a major threat to homeowners in this section of the city. Boyd Park is also known to flood when storms impact the central New Jersey area.
