Police in the Manasquan area are investigating reports of a suspicious person who allegedly approached two girls.
Brielle police put out an alert on their Facebook page that says an older man in a blue or gray SUV approached two young girls and asked them if they wanted candy.
It happened around 4 p.m Thursday near Fletcher and McClean avenues.
The man drove off when the girls said no, according to police.
The man is described as a white male in his 60s with white hair and a medium build.
Parents in the area are being warned to be on the lookout.
