Doctor Martha Mendez-Baldwin categorizes bullying as physical, verbal or relational. Mendez-Baldwin describes relational bullying as being manipulative and gives the example of a bully wanting a toy from another child to end the torment.Experts say regardless of the type of bullying, parents must listen to their children?s cries for help and take the situation seriously. Mendez-Baldwin feels ignoring the situation or treating it like a right of passage only empowers the bully.
