Panera Bread has fired a worker after she posted a video of how the chain makes its mac and cheese, one of its most popular dishes.
Brianna Ramirez posted a video showing her taking a frozen packet out of a box and reheating it in boiling water. It's poured into a bowl to be served.
The video has since been viewed millions of times.
The company released a statement, saying, “Mac and cheese is made offsite with our proprietary recipe. It is shipped frozen to our bakery cafes. This allows us to avoid using certain preservatives that do not meet our clean standards."

Ramirez says she was terminated for having long nails and for pulling out her phone in the food prep area.
But she admits what she did was wrong and defends the company for its handling of what happened.
Ramirez posted on social media that she knew having the long nails is a risk to food safety and health regulations
