The owners of a Lavallette bakery say they want a group of men who stole baked goods from the business to come forward and apologize.

Colonial Bakery posted a video of the theft on its Facebook page. The video shows three young men enter the bakery from a back door. One of them grabs what appears to be a tray of crumb cake and they run out of the store.

The owners of the bakery say they know who the thieves are.

“We have the names of the thieves, thanks to all the sharing. We’d like to give them a chance to come in and apologize and pay for the stolen goods before turning them into the police,” the Facebook post read.

The owners say they hope to resolve the issue themselves without involving the authorities.
