Bronx residents grooved to salsa music Sunday to help kick off Orchard Beach?s summer concert series.

Free concerts are held all summer long as part of the 11th Annual Tropical Music Festival in Orchard Beach. Salsa, jazz and reggae are just some of the types of music that will be featured every Sunday until Labor Day.

Some residents say the kickoff event is a reunion for them. While some residents come out to see the concerts, others enjoy the food. The concerts start at noon. Upcoming acts include Tito Gomez and Hector Tricoche.
