State police announced Thursday the arrest of at least 20 alleged Bloods gang members in New Jersey.
Police called the round up ?Operation Dawg Pound.? Authorities say they arrested the leaders of the Bloods in Mercer, Monmouth and Ocean counties. According to police, the Bloods are the biggest threat to safety in Trenton. Police say the Bloods were responsible for 15 shootings in five days last year. During the arrests, authorities seized weapons and drugs.
The charges against the alleged gang members include racketeering, money laundering and drug possession. ?Operation Dawg Pound? developed over eight months of investigations and involved 18 agencies in the Garden State.
