The fall season on Broadway is in full swing, with three new plays opening in just a week's time, not to mention a special announcement by a theater legend.

If there was any doubt that Broadway is back after its struggles since reopening, this fall should put that to rest. With 16 new productions opening, you can barely travel a block or two in the theatre district without a new show on stage.

The drama "Leopoldstadt," the story spanning four generations of a Jewish family in Vienna, opened Sunday. Written by theater legend Tom Stoppard with a cast of 38, it’s the first of three plays opening in just a week's time on Broadway.

Drama is center stage this fall, including the Pulitzer Prize winning Cost of Living. It delves into relationships between caregivers and those who rely upon them. It officially opened Monday. The much-anticipated Broadway revival of "Death of a Salesman" opens this weekend after an acclaimed run in London.

Its opening isn't for months, but the fairy tale story of Cinderella is coming to Broadway with a new twist. It was announced this week by composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. His "Bad Cinderella" will star Lidey Genao in the title role.

"Bad Cinderella" will open next March at the Imperial Theatre. The new musical will allow Andrew Lloyd Webber to continue his 43-year streak of having one of his musicals playing every single night since September 1979.
