Two people were hurt, and multiple residents were left displaced by a 3-alarm fire that took place in Jersey City on Friday.
The fire chief says a call reporting the flames came in just before 3:30 p.m. Authorities say the blaze may have started between two buildings or on the first floor of a six-unit building.
Neighbors and residents say they watched as heavy flames engulfed the building.
Officials say 10 to 15 people were displaced by the fire and two people were hurt. The fire chief says one person was hurt after jumping from a second or third floor to escape the flames.
Authorities say no firefighters were injured, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
