Officials say a man was found fatally shot in Jersey City on Saturday.

It happened just after 4 p.m. on Merritt Street.

Devon Reid, of Elizabeth, was found by first responders in the driver's seat of a car that crashed into a tree.

Reid had a gunshot wound to his neck, officials say.

He was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital.
