Officials: Man dies on NJ Transit train after suffering possible heart attack

A man from Middletown died after boarding a New Jersey Transit train at New York Penn Station and suffering a possible heart attack, according to the agency.

A man from Middletown died after boarding a New Jersey Transit train at New York Penn Station and suffering a possible heart attack, according to the agency.
The incident happened Monday around 5:05 p.m. on board North Jersey Coast Line train 3363.
According to officials, the man was identified as Alfred Wood, 63.
Amtrak police and EMS responded as a conductor made an announcement asking for a doctor to come to the train's third car.
A doctor responded before EMS and police arrived and briefly revived Wood, but he died aboard the train.
According to New Jersey Transit, trains are not required to have resuscitation masks or defibrillators on board.
