Officials: Fox tests positive for rabies in New Jersey town
The Middlesex County Office of Health Services says a fox tested positive for rabies in Monroe.
The incident was reported in the area of Garvey Drive and Spotswood Gravel Hill Road.
According to officials, the animal was killed Friday by two pet dogs at a resident’s home.
Officials say both dogs had their rabies vaccinations.
The fox is the first rabid animal reported within Middlesex County this year.
No humans were exposed.
