Two off-duty police officers are among four people charged in connection with a December fight outside the Park Steakhouse that left a man seriously injured, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
Nicholas K. Dispoto, 31, of Hillsdale, 28-year-old Jason R. Vradenburg of Park Ridge, 29-year-old Martina L. McGee of Hillsdale, and 59-year-old Thomas M. Schiavone of St. James City, Florida have been arrested. Police responded to a reported disturbance on Dec. 6, 2025, and found an adult man on the ground with an apparent head injury. The victim was taken to a hospital with serious injuries and was later released.
The prosecutor’s office took over the investigation and determined that Nicholas Dispoto, an off-duty officer with the Montvale Police Department, was involved in the physical altercation that led to the victim’s injuries. Investigators say Dispoto hid himself inside the restaurant as responding officers arrived.
Prosecutors say that Vradenburg — an off-duty officer with the Park Ridge Police Department — along with McGee and Schiavone, provided false information to police that helped conceal Dispoto’s involvement.
Vradenburg was arrested Feb. 12 and charged with third-degree endangering an injured victim, third-degree tampering with public records and fourth-degree hindering apprehension. Dispoto was arrested Feb. 13 and charged with third-degree aggravated assault, third-degree endangering an injured victim and fourth-degree obstruction. McGee and Schiavone were each charged with fourth-degree hindering apprehension.
