The drive-thru testing center at Ocean County College will
open
at 11 a.m. today.
This comes as the demand for tests remains extremely high
everywhere.
Yesterday, New Jersey logged another 31,000 cases, with a 7-day
average topping the 25,000 mark.
Those numbers are believed to be significantly higher because of
the at-home rapid tests which go unreported to state health
officials.
As expected, those numbers have translated into a jump of
hospitalizations. There are more than 5,400 hospitalizations for the first time
since May of 2020 and nearly 700 of them are in the ICU.
On Monday, Gov. Phil Murphy said the state was working to break down the
numbers of residents hospitalized with COVID-19. Health officials continue
to say most new cases are mild.
Here are the hours: 11 a.m.-7 p.m. today; 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
tomorrow
(weather permitting); and new hours this Saturday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
