NYPD: Warren Township teen killed in Manhattan stabbing Thanksgiving morning

The NYPD says that the incident happened just before 2 a.m. Thursday along Lafayette Street. Police found 17-year-old Rocco Rodden and a 19-year-old suffering from stab wounds.

A teenager from Warren Township died after he and another teen were stabbed in lower Manhattan.
The NYPD says that the incident happened just before 2 a.m. Thursday along Lafayette Street. Police found 17-year-old Rocco Rodden and a 19-year-old suffering from stab wounds.
The teens were taken to the hospital and Rodden was pronounced dead. The 19-year-old is in stable condition.
Authorities have arrested 19-year-old Gianluca Bordone for the crime. He is facing manslaughter and assault charges.
Rodden was a junior at Saint Joseph Regional High School in Montvale.
In a post written on Twitter, the school writes, “It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of one of our own, Rocco Rodden. A junior at SJR left us in the early hours of Thanksgiving morning. Our thoughts and prayers are with Rocco’s family and friends.”
The NYPD did not provide a motive for the attack.
