NYPD: Shooting suspect linked to death of 24-year-old in Melrose still on the loose

Officers say a 24-year-old man was shot multiple times inside of a car on April 15.

The NYPD released new surveillance footage showing a man that may be connected to a deadly shooting in Melrose last Monday, April 15.

According to police, he fired multiple rounds of gunshots into a parked car that was sitting outside of a McDonald’s at 279 E 149th Street.

Investigators say a 24-year-old man was sitting inside of that car. Police discovered him with multiple gunshot wounds all over his body. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police told News 12 they are still investigating what led up to that deadly shooting.

They say no one has been arrested or taken into their custody yet.
