Authorities say Mohamed Konate now faces several charges, including attempted murder. According to police, the suspect approached the rapper and two people he was with and attempted to rob them at gunpoint.
Police in Edgewater say they responded to a shopping mall early Wednesday morning and found the rapper with multiple gunshot wounds and a second victim identified as Antoine Boyd with a single gunshot wound.
Both men are expected to recover.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office say Boyd and the other man the rapper was with, Jeffrey Valdez, were both charged with unlawful possession of a weapon.
