A Jersey City nun is counting her blessings after she was caught in the crossfire of a shootout.
Sister Carol Van Billiard says she was driving two church volunteers home Tuesday when bullets whizzed by and struck her car at the corner of Ocean and Wilkinson. Billiard says one passenger told her to duck and they prayed. Billiard, who says she is all too familiar with area violence, quickly drove away after the gunfire stopped.
Jersey City police have not arrested any suspects, but say they don?t believe the nun was the target.
