A New Jersey Transit train struck a car that was stuck on the train tracks in Long Branch.
The crash happened just before 6:30 p.m. at the crossing near Cedar Avenue.
Officials say that the car was empty at the time of the crash.
One person on the train was treated for minor injuries. The driver of the car was not believed to have been injured.
The crash led to some delays on the North Jersey Coast Line.
It was not immediately known why the car was on the tracks.
