NJ Transit: Train crash at Montclair train station results in several injuries
Two trains on the Montclair-Boonton Line in Montclair made contact with one another just west of the Bay Street station in Montclair on Friday evening, according to a New Jersey Transit spokesperson.
There are reports of injuries that are currently considered non-life-threatening.
New Jersey Transit police are currently investigating the situation. It is not yet clear what caused the crash.
Rail service on the Montclair-Boonton Line is currently suspended in both directions between Montclair Heights and Bay Street. NJ Transit rail tickets and passes are being cross-honored by NJ Transit buses.
