NJ Transit provides extra service for Thanksgiving travelers

Trains will run on an enhanced weekend/holiday schedule on Friday with additional trains during peak hours on various lines.

NJ Transit is adding additional service for travelers for the holiday weekend.
On Wednesday, NJ Transit will offer early gateway rail and bus services from Penn Station New York, New Jersey and Hoboken terminal on various lines.
Trains will operate on a weekend/holiday schedule on Thursday. However, extra trains will be added to accommodate those traveling to and from the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Trains will run on an enhanced weekend/holiday schedule on Friday with additional trains during peak hours on various lines.
Also, NJ Transit’s Family SuperSaver Fare, which allows up to two children 11 and younger to travel free with each fare-paying adult throughout the Thanksgiving holiday, will be in effect, from 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22 until 6 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27.
Additional ticket purchasing options are available this year. Customers can purchase rail tickets directly through the NJ Transit website at njtransit.com/webtickets.
