New Jersey Transit says that overhead wire repairs near Mount Tabor are impacting service until further notice.
The company says that the repairs are impacting the Morristown Line, which will operate on a modified schedule.
“Train service on the Morristown Line will originate and terminate at Morristown Station. Customers traveling to/from Morris Plains and Mount Tabor should use Morristown or Denville stations on the Montclair-Boonton Line. There will be no direct service to Hoboken from Morristown, Convent, Madison or Chatham stations; customers traveling to Hoboken can transfer at Summit Station or [Newark Broad Street Station],” NJ Transit posted on its website.
NJ Transit also states, “Cross-honoring will no longer be in effect on PATH or Private Carrier bus service but will remain in effect for NJ TRANSIT bus service and Newark Light Rail.”
The cause of the damage is under investigation. A spokesperson for the rail company says that repairs could last for several days.
More information about the changes can be found on the NJ Transit app or the company’s website.
