New Jersey Transit’s Board of Directors will vote Wednesday on a proposed 15% fare hike.
If the proposal passes, it will go into effect on July 1.
The proposed hike comes as NJ Transit is facing a $120 million budget shortfall for the year.
For 2025, it is nearly a $1 billion shortfall.
