New Jersey Transit will offer free rides to and from COVID-19 vaccine appointments.
It is part of a new partnership that is funded by sponsors. Riders can get up to two free round trips per person.
Officials say that 11,000 people can redeem this offer.
"These tickets will be offered for bus, rail, light rail customers through NJ Transit's mobile app and offline by visiting one of our customer service locations or calling or customer service hotline,” says NJ Transit president and CEO Kevin Corbett.
The initiative began on Tuesday.
