A man was struck and killed by a New Jersey Transit train at the Short Hills Train Station in Millburn, according to an agency spokesperson.
Trains on the Morris & Essex Line were delayed by up to 30 mins for the investigation. The identity of the man was not immediately made available.
NJ Transit says that the Gladstone Branch train left Hoboken just before noon and struck the man around 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday. There were about 20 passengers and crew on the train at the time. No one aboard the train was hurt, according to officials.
It was not immediately clear how the victim got onto the tracks.
