New Jersey Transit restored rail service Saturday with possible delays after suspending all service Friday night.
New Jersey Transit says the suspension was due an “illegal” job action by the locomotive engineer's union.
Service on the Northeast Corridor, Main-Bergen line, Montclair-Boonton, Pascack Valley, Raritan Valley and North Jersey Coast lines were all suspended in both directions. Most suspensions went into effect just before 8 p.m.
New Jersey Transit says some scattered delays are possible this weekend and to visit NJTransit.com for up-to-date information.
