New Jersey Transit has unveiled some newly-decorated buses and trains to commemorate Black History Month.
The buses and trains are decorated to honor the contributions of notable African Americans.
They say the goal is to help raise awareness and promote the kind of actions needed to make New Jersey’s communities and people stronger and healthier. Two buses and one train will remain wrapped in their themed design year-round.
“I hope it makes [our riders] pause for a second and look at that and say, ‘Wow, that’s pretty cool’ and that…they feel support from New Jersey Transit,” says NJ Transit CEO and president Kevin Corbett. “Hopefully it gets them to think a little bit.”
Corbett says NJ Transit is honored to collaborate with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield to commemorate Black History Month.
