A New Jersey teacher is quitting following the controversy over a student's essay praising Adolf Hitler.
The teacher at Maugham Elementary School in Tenafly, who remains unidentified, was placed on paid leave following the incident. Principal Jennifer Ferrara was also placed on paid leave.
Ferrara was reinstated yesterday and will work with the school board and administration "to create a safer environment for students moving forward."
