The holidays are meant to be the kick off for the winter ski season. This year, many New Jersey ski resorts are asking Santa for snow.
Manager Ron Fuhr tells News 12 New Jersey all seven ski and tubing runs at Campgaw Mountain are normally open by now. However, this year, going into the holiday weekend, they're still closed due to the unseasonably warm weather.
New Jersey's ski resorts were hoping October's snowstorm was a sign of what Mother Nature had in store this winter. Instead, just days before Christmas, the only snow on Campgaw Mountain is man-made.
