(03/12/07) EDGEWATER ? Manhattan-bound New Jersey commuters can now look to the sea as a means of transportation.
New York Waterway began ferry service Monday between Ferry Landing in Edgewater to West 39th Street in Manhattan. Although the ferries obviously are a major factor in the service, buses play an important role as well. Since parking is limited, buses provided by the town go up and down River Road to pick up commuters wishing to use the service.
The ferry fares run $7 for a single trip, $68 for 10 trips and $230 for a monthly pass.
