The party continued after the Giants' marched down the Canyon of Heroes in New York City at MetLife Stadium in the Meadowlands, where the Giants practice and play.
At the rally held at MetLife Stadium, Giants owner John Mara said that the franchise is very proud to call New Jersey their home.
Eli Manning also said while at the Meadowlands that there was nowhere that he'd rather be than at the stadium with the best fans in the world. During the celebration, Manning also said, "We won six straight games and brought the Lombardi trophy back to New Jersey."
News 12 New Jersey also spoke with former Giant Joe Morris, who helped with the team's first Super Bowl victory in 1987. Morris says the Giants "play in New Jersey, they practice in New Jersey, and most of their homes are in New Jersey. It should be the Jersey Giants."
The Lombardi trophy itself is even from New Jersey. Tiffany and Co. makes the trophy in Parsippany.
