A Newton police officer is no longer on the force after he was accused of exposing himself to drivers.

Officer Jason Miller appeared in Sussex County Court Monday to face charges that he exposed himself to young male drivers that he pulled over.

Miller agreed to plead guilty to tampering with police dash-cameras in order to conceal his actions. During the hearing, he admitted turning off the video and audio components of his patrol car's dashboard camera system "to conceal unprofessional and inappropriate conduct" between March and October of last year.

As part of the plea, he has handed in his badge and will never again be allowed to serve as a police officer. He must also undergo a mental health evaluation.

Miller is scheduled to be sentenced in August. Prosecutors say they will ask that Miller serve 60 days in jail and be placed on probation for up to five years.
