A man from Queens is accused of filming himself committing various traffic violations.
Newark police say they attempted to stop Antonio Ginestri on April 11 for driving recklessly near Market and Broad streets.
Police say that after investigating the incident, they found several social media videos that appear to show Ginestri committing the same violations throughout the tri-state area.
“We trust that this arrest sends a strong message that Newark is not a playground for daredevil drivers seeking social media likes,” Chief Emanuel Miranda wrote in a statement. “We will not tolerate senseless, reckless driving on Newark streets.”
Ginestri was charged with eluding police.
